Support Scholarships with Your Ohio Taxes
Donate through the Antioch School SGO Program
Did you know that you can support the Antioch School at no net cost to you — simply by directing your Ohio state income tax dollars toward student scholarships?
Thanks to our partnership with the SGO Every Child, Every Family Ohio, Ohio residents can receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit — up to $750 for individuals and $1,500 for joint filers — when they contribute to our scholarship fund through a qualified Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO).
How It Works
Make a contribution
to the Antioch School’s SGO via Every Child, Every Family. Choose “Antioch School” in the “School to Donate To” dropdown menu.
Claim your credit
when you file your Ohio income taxes.
Get your contribution back
as a refund or reduce what you owe — all while helping children access an Antioch School education.
Participating in the Antioch School SGO program was incredibly easy. We followed the instructions on the handout, and it only took a few minutes to complete the forms online. We loved knowing that our contribution would go straight to helping Antioch to provide much needed scholarships. Financial ups and downs are a constant reality in this day and age and this is a way to give back without adding any stress. It’s also really nice to have a say in where some of our tax dollars go for once! We came away feeling good, like we’d done something meaningful for the school. Feeling good at tax time – who knew?

It's that Simple
Example:
You owe $1,500 in Ohio income tax and donate $750 to the Antioch School’s SGO. When you file, your tax bill is reduced by $750. You just supported scholarships — and kept that money in your community — without spending anything extra.
Or, let’s say you overpaid taxes through payroll deductions and are expecting a refund. You can still donate to the SGO fund and potentially receive an even bigger refund based on your overall tax liability.
Note: This is a non-refundable credit, meaning it can reduce your tax bill to $0 but won’t result in a refund beyond what you’ve paid in income taxes throughout the year.
We invite you to confer with our Development Coordinator Chris Westhoff or a tax advisor with any additional questions or concerns.
Why It Matters
Antioch School tuition is intentionally kept as affordable as possible — but scholarship demand far exceeds our current resources.
